What to Expect During Your First Visit
During your first visit, we’ll examine you and conduct several different tests for the most accurate assessment of your health. We’ll talk about your general health history and conduct postural, orthopaedic, and neurological exams.
The second visit includes your Report of Findings, during which we explain what we’ve discovered and how we plan to approach your care through your personalised, comprehensive plan. You’ll also learn about potential costs, as well as exercises you can do at home to complement the work we do in-office.
What Do Adjustments Feel Like?
In most cases, chiropractic adjustments do not hurt. You may feel sensitivity during and after an office visit, depending on the amount of inflammation in your body, but we communicate with you each step of the way to ensure we know what you’re feeling. That way, we can take extra care and make sure you have a comfortable treatment.
Each person’s needs are different, and the number of visits you’ll need depends on what is happening within your body. Typically, we see clients more frequently during their early stages of care, and then as the nervous system responds and stabilises – and you adopt the positive lifestyle changes we recommend – we see you less frequently.
